The Greek national women’s water polo team concluded their preparations for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers with a 9-5 victory over Australia. The friendly match took place on Sunday afternoon at the Nea Smyrni swimming pool and marked the unofficial debut of head coach Haris Pavlidis with the “blue and white” team.
Despite trailing 3-2 at halftime against the Paris Olympic finalists, Greece turned the game around with a dominant 4-0 run in the third quarter to secure the win.
