A new school year is just weeks away, and the Greek Community of Melbourne’s Language & Culture Schools are eagerly preparing to greet returning and new students, welcoming learners of all ages—children and adults alike—into a vibrant and inclusive educational environment. The schools offer an exciting journey of learning, blending fun, friendship, action, and a deeper connection with the Greek language, a language with a centuries-old history, and the vibrant cultural heritage of Greece.
Catering to a wide range of ages, levels, and needs, the schools share a unified vision: preserving and promoting the Greek language and culture. In today’s multicultural and multilingual society, learning Greek not only connects students to their cultural roots but also opens doors to new opportunities for study and career development. The enduring contribution of the Greek language to science, art, and culture provides students with a valuable asset for the future.

With modern teaching methods, expert staff, and the integration of technology, the schools create a dynamic and engaging learning experience. Their multifaceted approach includes language classes enriched with modules in music, dance, theater, history, and culture, offering a holistic cultural education. Excursions, school events, and hands-on activities give students the chance to engage meaningfully with Greece’s rich cultural heritage.
The Greek Community of Melbourne’s Language & Culture Schools operate in eight locations across Melbourne: Alphington, Balwyn, Doncaster, Northern Campus, Glen Waverley, Windsor, as well as two campuses for students with Greek as their first language, located in the City and Bentleigh. The exceptional quality of education is reflected in the VCE exam results, with 85 per cent of students achieving scores above the state average.
In addition to these programs, the Community offers Greek classes for adults, programs for beginner students, and the innovative Greek ELA Program for children aged 18 months to 4 years.
