Oakleigh Cannons overcame Malvern in a dramatic 3-2 encounter that left spectators breathless.

The first half showcased an intense battle, with Oakleigh’s number 3 breaking the deadlock early with a spectacular long-range strike.

Malvern responded fiercely, leveling the match and eventually bringing the score to 2-2 by halftime.

The second half maintained the frenetic pace as Oakleigh’s number 4 dazzled the crowd with a brilliant solo effort, earning a penalty after weaving through the Malvern defense. Number 19 stepped up to calmly convert the spot-kick, securing his second goal of the day and giving Oakleigh the edge.

In the dying moments, Malvern threw everything forward, but Oakleigh’s goalkeeper produced a string of heroic saves to seal the victory.

East Kew’s clash with Springvale was equally thrilling, marked by stunning goals and unrelenting determination.

Springvale shocked the crowd with a third-minute wonder goal from 40 yards out, setting the tone for an enthralling contest.

However, East Kew’s number 37, Uly, delivered two expertly taken goals before halftime, handing his team a 2-1 lead.

Despite relentless pressure from Springvale in the second half, East Kew’s goalkeeper stood tall, thwarting multiple attempts.

East Kew then extended their advantage with a third goal, appearing to seal the win. Springvale, undeterred, pulled one back with a spectacular 20-yard free kick but fell short as East Kew held on for a 3-2 triumph.
