Antigone Drisbioti has had her first race for 2025 in Australia. The European walking champion took part in the Supernova race in Canberra and ran the 10,000m in 44:46.42, a performance that is close to her personal best, 43:51.98, which she set in the same race in 2023.
Australia’s Jemina Montag took first place in the race in 43:24.67, followed by her compatriot Olivia Sandery in 43:54.92 and in third place was Colombia’s Lorena Arenas in 44:36.58.
“This race was basically part of my training. So I went in seeing it as part of my training. I feel very good, I feel very good and psyched and we’re moving on,” said Antigoni Drisbioti.
The “bronze” world champion took a large part of her preparation in Colombia and is now in Australia, where she is training with the rest of her coach Brent Valance’s group.
