Leading PWII tennis player Andriana Petrakis took part in some events at the Australia Open this month, where she came third overall in doubles and singles.

It was at the Australian Open that she had the opportunity to have a practice hit with Desirae Krawczyk from USA and Giuliana Olmos from Mexico which she described as “fun and very intense”.

“I feel grateful, honoured, privileged, humbled, and delighted with myself,” she said in a statement.

Petrakis finished fourth overall last year and now third in 2025. It was at the Australian Tennis Championships in November 2023 where she won her first title.

She is ranked number five internationally and number two in Australia in the women’s singles People with an Intellectual Impairment category.
