Greek Australian Steve Kamper (Stavros Kamperogiannis) has been handed a new responsibility after being given a new portfolio role as the Minister for Jobs and Tourism as part of a cabinet reshuffle for the NSW Government.

Kamper was sworn in on Monday morning as Minister for Jobs and Tourism, giving him an additional portfolio to his existing ones for Lands and Property, Multiculturalism, and Sport.

The Member for Rockdale has served in his other three ministerial roles for the past two years, with NSW Premier Chris Minns now entrusting him with another significant portfolio.

Kamper had also served as Minister for Small Business since 2023 though fellow MP Janelle Saffin has now taken over that role in the reshuffle that has seen her also sworn in as Minister for the North Coast, and Recovery.

“It’s been a privilege to serve as Minister for Small Business over the past two years, delivering the nation-leading Small Business Charter and the Service NSW Business Bureau, which delivered 45,000 hours of personalised support and assisted 265,000 business enquiries in its first 12 months,” Kamper said in a Facebook post.

“I know Janelle will be a fierce advocate for small businesses across our state.”

Other changes include John Graham taking on an additional portfolio as Minister for Transport and Jenny Aitchison becoming Minister for Roads, and Regional Transport.

The Premier also revealed in his statement the appointment of Emily Suvaal as the Parliamentary Secretary for Trade and Small Business.

“These are important changes to the NSW Ministry that will ensure we continue to invest in essential services that people rely on, and build a better NSW,” Minns said.
