The Hellenic Medical Society of Australia (HMSA), in collaboration with the Greek Community of Melbourne (GCM), is inviting students in Years 9 to 12 to attend the ‘Pathways to Success’ Careers Day.
The event is designed to guide and inspire the next generation of Greek Australian professionals, and will take place on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 1.30 to 5pm at the Greek Centre in Melbourne.
HMSA President, Professor Marinis Pirpiris, a strong advocate for intergenerational mentorship, highlighted the significance of this initiative:
“This event will help shape a student’s future and career by connecting their career aspirations with personal values and community identity, ensuring that their success is both meaningful and authentic.
“The day will be more than just career advice—it will be an opportunity for students to dream boldly, connect deeply, and shape a future of purpose and success.”
With over 30 distinguished Greek Australian professionals representing more than 20 industries, students will have the chance to engage with leaders across various fields. Current university students will also be available to answer questions, providing insights into academic and career pathways.
Inspiration, connection, and wellbeing
The event aims to help students navigate subject selection, university courses, and career trajectories while also offering guidance on managing stress and competing priorities such as exams. This year, the focus on wellbeing will equip students with strategies to maintain balance in their academic and professional pursuits.
