Residents of Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania, and the Australian Capital Territory will turn their clocks back one hour this Sunday, April 6, as daylight saving time officially ends. At 3am, clocks will move back to 2am, marking the transition from daylight saving to standard time.

This change means that sunrise and sunset will now occur earlier in the day. Daylight saving time in Australia ends on the first Sunday of April each year and resumes on the first Sunday of October—this year, on October 5.

Queensland, Western Australia, and the Northern Territory do not observe daylight saving time and will not adjust their clocks.

Greece has already switched to daylight saving time on the last Sunday of March. As a result, the time difference between Greece and Australia’s southeastern states is currently eight hours—one hour less than during the summer months.

Once Australia shifts back to standard time this Sunday, the time difference with Greece will be reduced to seven hours.
