Greek Australian entrepreneurs Daniel and Georgia Contos, founders of fashion powerhouse White Fox Boutique, have acquired a five-storey commercial office building in Sydney’s inner-city suburb of Rosebery in a $70 million off-market deal, paving the way for a new company headquarters.

Founded in 2013 by the Greek Australian duo, White Fox Boutique started is a local online fashion retailer offering hip but affordable clothing.

The brand has achieved a meteoric rise in the last decade, especially in the United States, where it has become a favourite among teenagers thanks to the brand’s focus on influencer marketing, and its signature hoodies.

The new building at 61 Dunning Avenue was bought from a fund managed by Goodman Group, with property group Colliers quietly brokering the deal. Neither the agents, nor White Fox Boutique have officially commented, the purchase signals a shift from the brand’s current premises at nearby 45–49 Dunning Avenue, with a move expected once settlement is finalised and the current lease expires.

The modern 10,761sqm commercial building includes 249 car spaces, a northern-facing aspect, and three street frontages, allowing for abundant natural light throughout, according to The Australian.

The space gives White Fox an opportunity to build its headquarters in a tightly held business precinct.

Beyond their commercial success, the Contos couple, have a significant property portfolio and have made headlines for their luxury residential investments.

The founders reportedly spent over $120 million on four mansions in Sydney’s exclusive Vaucluse area, including a $25 million knockdown property on Fisher Avenue in 2023. These sit adjacent to two others they previously purchased for $34.5 million and $36 million, with plans to demolish and create a sprawling compound offering sweeping Sydney Harbour views, according to the Wentworth Courier. The couple also owns another nearby home on Wentworth Street, acquired for over $25 million.

It seems Trump’s new tariffs and possible impact on the footwear, and textile manufacturing markets in Asia, won’t faze the Contos’s given their hefty property investments.

White Fox Boutique now operates showrooms in Sydney and Los Angeles, with its global expansion and strong social media presence helping cement its status as a powerhouse in the fast fashion industry.
