The Easter workshop of St Dimitrios Moonee Ponds Parish was met with great enthusiasm by the participating children, with over 100 taking part to embrace the customs associated with it.

The program took place last Friday as the kids engaging in a series of activities, which gave them an experiential learning of Easter customs and the meaning of Holy Week.

The youngsters travelled through the sacred moments of our Church through re-enactments of the Ascension of Lazarus and the Last Supper, while also actively participating in the discussion and decoding of the images of the Crucifixion and Resurrection.

They made traditional lazarakia and koulourakia with their own hands, dyed eggs with joy and imagination, decorated their own candles and sang the carols of Lazarus.
