The Greek Community of Melbourne (GCM) has announced the return of the Greek Summer Camp as part of its 2025 cultural programs.
In partnership with the Consulate General of Greece in Melbourne and the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the camp will run from 11 to 20 July 2025 and offer participants the opportunity to visit some of Greece’s most famous cities such as Athens, Thessaloniki and Kavala.
The program aims to strengthen participants connection to their cultural identity through guided tours, cultural workshops, and educational activities.
The camp program has run since 2022, sending over 80 students to Greece.

“I would highly recommend the experience for any young Greek Australian passionate about their heritage,” GCM Board Member Tass Sgardelis said in a media release.
“You will make lifelong friends, immerse yourself in your heritage, and have an amazing time exploring Greece.”
Eleven young Australians of Greek descent, aged between 18-25 years of age will have the opportunity to participate in the program. Applications will be opening in the next week.
