Oakleigh Grammar has inducted two more former students, Dr Chris Plakiotis and Andrew Korlos, into its Alumni Hall of Fame at a recent event held at the N P Nikolakakis Centre for Academic Excellence.

The event brought together past and present members of the school to celebrate the achievements of both inductees alongside their families.

Principal Mark Robertson opened the event by speaking about the value of acknowledging the pathways taken by former students after graduation. He highlighted the role of the school’s values in shaping those journeys.

School Captains Alexander Korlos and Natasha Kaniadakis introduced the inductees and presented their achievements.

Dr Chris Plakiotis, a 1991 graduate, is a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in adult and aged mental health.

He has held roles at Monash Health and Monash University and holds multiple postgraduate degrees and a Doctor of Medicine.

He leads the Aged Persons Mental Health Service at Monash Health and contributes to research and teaching in electroconvulsive therapy.

Andrew Korlos, a 2005 graduate earned an ATAR of 99.95 and studied Law and Commerce at the University of Melbourne on a national scholarship.

He is now a partner in PwC’s tax disputes practice and holds a Master of Laws. He has two children.

Both alumni gave speeches sharing their experiences at Oakleigh Grammar and their professional journeys.

They spoke about friendships, teachers, and the influence of the school’s values. They encouraged current students to work toward their goals with purpose and integrity.
