The Greek Community of Melbourne and Victoria will hold elections this Sunday 29 June to decide on the Board of Directors for the next term.
The election will take place at Alphington Grammar from 9am to 8pm.
A total of 21 candidates are vying for the 19 positions on the Board of Directors, 19 of whom belong to the Papastergiadis group and two who are independents.
Victory is practically assured for the Papastergiadis team, though, in his statement, he called on all active members to come to the elections and give a vote of confidence to him and his associates “in their work so far and its completion”.
As announced at the recent general assembly, the following candidates will run for a position on the Board of Directors:
Bill Papastergiadis, Marinis Pirpiris, Manuel Tsimikis, Helene Hiotis, Vicky Kyritsis, Nick Dallas, Michael Karamitou, Nick Koukouvitakis, Chris Sikavtsas, Spyridoula Dimitriou, Bill Bosinakis, Leonidas Vlahakis, Dora Papamariou, Stella Moshos, Sophia Siachos, Anthi Sidiriropoulou, Peter Dimakousis, Simela Stamatopoulos, Ange Kenos, Tass Sgardelis and Mena Giannellis.
