The elections for the new Board of Directors of the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne and Victoria (GOCMV) were held on Sunday, with 314 members casting their vote out of approximately 1,500 eligible members.
As expected, all 19 candidates from the Papastergiadis ticket were elected, with the two independent candidates receiving only a few dozen votes between them.
Of the 314 ballots submitted, 15 were declared invalid.
Nick Dallas received the highest number of votes with 299, followed closely by Vicki Kyritsis with 298.
The newly elected board members will meet soon to formally constitute the board.
