Twelve jurors who have spent the past week deliberating on whether Erin Patterson is guilty of three murders over a toxic beef Wellington lunch have reached a verdict.

Patterson, 50, pleaded not guilty to three counts of murder and one of attempted murder over a death cap mushroom-laced meal she served her former in-laws in July 2023.

Don and Gail Patterson, 70, and Gail’s sister Heather Wilkinson, 66, all died in hospital days after eating the meal, while Heather’s husband Ian became sick but made a full recovering.

After hearing nine weeks of evidence, the jury retired to deliberate on their verdict last Monday.

The jurors have been sequestered together in accommodation near the small regional town of Morwell while they deliberate.

The Supreme Court informed media the jury would return at 2.15pm on Monday with a verdict.
