Anastasia Ntragomirova made the big breakthrough in Bergen, in the last event of the heptathlon of the European Athletic U23 Championships as she broke the Greek record by reaching 6,054 points.

She entered the 800 m with the third best overall score, finishing the event with a time of 2:30.76 that took her points tally to 6,054.

The athlete set a new Greek U23 record, though her efforts were only enough to finish in fourth place, which came to be added to fifth in the shot put.

Ntragomirova closed out the Greek entries in Bergen, with Adriana Goga being the penultimate on the list with her appearance in the long jump final.

She finished 11th with a best jump of 6.08m, a performance that does not fairly represent her skill, but this first participation in a major European competition final may be a guide for the future.

Overall, Greece won three medals (one silver and two bronze) at the Championships in Bergen, while five national U23 records were broken.
