This week, Olympic face a test away at Ballarat City.
Clifton Hill left Banyule City’s ground with three golden points after a 1-0 victory. The Greek Australian outfit is brimming with pride and optimism as they gear up for Round 17, facing Westgate away.
Panellinios bagged a massive win against Westgate, leaving Ardeer Reserve with a 4-1 scoreline, having netted four cracking goals while conceding just one. For Round 17, Suburbs will take on Brimbank Stallions away.
Yarraville’s downward spiral shows no signs of stopping. The historic Doxa are struggling to pick up points, now languishing in 11th, deep in the relegation zone. Last weekend, they fell 3-1 at home to Ballarat City. This week, they’ll face a tough trip to Keilor Park.
State League 1 – South-East
The South-East group of State League 1 is painted blue and white, with the Greek Australian trio leading the charge with consistency, flair, and a hunger for victory.
Table-toppers Malvern City thrashed Mazenod 5-0, proving they’re ready for the big leap to VPL2. This week, City host Beaumaris in what’s set to be a belter.
Five points behind Malvern, Bayside Argonauts are a force to be reckoned with. The “Argonauts” grafted for a 1-0 win over Old Scotch, pocketing three vital points. This weekend, the Greek Australian side will welcome a wounded Mazenod.
In third, South Springvale’s Aris kept up the chase with a 2-1 win over Doveton, staying within touching distance of second-placed Argonauts. This week, the “Yellow and Black” host Collingwood City.
State League 2 – North-West
A Greek Australian derby is on the cards this week in the North-West group of State League 2, as Altona East Phoenix’s PAOK host Mill Park. Both sides head into the blockbuster clash with sky-high confidence after recent wins. The “Black and Whites” saw off Albion Rovers 2-0, while the “Pigeons” dispatched Western Eagles 4-2.
State League 2 – South-East
It was a rough weekend for the two Greek Australian sides in the South-East group of State League 2.
Chisholm United fell 1-0 away to Berwick City, while Bentleigh United Cobras couldn’t hold off Peninsula Strikers, losing 3-1 at home. This week, Oakleigh’s Chisholm host Strikers, and the Cobras face Mooroolbark.

Waverley Wanderers climbed to second in the standings after a commanding 3-0 win over Croydon City. This week, the “Yellow and Black” welcome Hampton Park United Sparrows.
State League 4 – East
East Kew’s Olympiakos suffered a heavy 3-0 home defeat to Ringwood City. The “Red and Whites” looked sluggish, unable to match their opponents at any point in the 90 minutes. For Round 17, they’ll look to bounce back away at Riversdale.
State League 4 – North
Keon Park’s AEK slipped to fourth after a 3-1 loss to Moreland United. This week, the “Two-Headed Eagle” face a tricky trip to Heidelberg Stars.
West Preston were unstoppable last weekend, demolishing Melbourne University 5-1 to climb to fifth in the table. The “Greens” will look to keep the momentum going away at Moreland United this week.
Darebin United’s Apollon fell 3-1 to Moonee Ponds. This week, they’ll travel to Avondale Heights Reserve to take on Moonee Valley Knights.
