Various issues of mutual interest were discussed in the meeting, focusing on the testimony and work of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia, its ministry in favour of the Cypriot community of the fifth continent, as well as the course of the Cyprus issue, for which Archbishop Makarios reiterated his firm position for achieving a just solution, which will lead to the reunification of the island and the peaceful coexistence of its inhabitants.

Gregoriou thanked the Archbishop for his care for the members of the Cypriot Community and for his strong support for the rights of the Cypriot people.
