The new Olympiacos Museum at “Georgios Karaiskakis” Stadium has opened its doors, recording sold out crowds in its first days of operation.
The club’s brand-new museum has received a warm response from its attendees, with an estimated 8,500 visitors having visited it since its official opening from last Monday.
Olympiacos, in a relevant press release, noted that the opening brings to fruition the initiative from President Vangelis Marinakis that marks the culmination of its centenary celebration.
“(The Museum) marks the culmination and completion of the brilliant celebrations that have taken place this year in Piraeus, but also throughout Greece, for the 100 years of glorious and legendary history of Olympiacos,” the club said.

In the spirit of celebration, the Piraeus giants confirmed that admission to the museum will be free for the month of August.
The project was created in collaboration with international company Mediapro Exhibitions, which has created some of the largest football museums in the world.
A centrepiece of the Museum is a specially designed space celebrating the historic UEFA Conference League and UEFA Youth League triumphs that both came in 2024.
The Olympiacos Museum features a whole list of exhibits/items chronicling its history, including displays of its jersey through the years, the trophies it has won, memorabilia, information on past legends etc.

It also incorporates footage of past great victories in Greece and Europe, interactive quizzes as well as audiovisual application that allow visitors to tour its training facilities in Renti and the “Georgios Karaiskakis” Stadium.
The Museum also recognises the Gate 7 Tragedy, honouring the memory of the 21 people who lost their lives in February 1981.
The Museum stands as an important archive for the club which they expect to delight young and old supporters alike for many years to come.
