The 2025 Belgrade Open has been moved to Athens, bringing an ATP tournament back to the Greek capital for the first time in over three decades.
The decision was reportedly made by the family of Novak Djokovic, who hold the tournament license and has overseen its organisation since 2021.
Djokovic met with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in June—and again last weekend—with speculation that the 24-time Grand Slam champion may be considering moving to Greece.
The Hellenic Championship will be played from 2-8 November in indoor hard court at OAKA Basketball Arena, a multi-purpose venue that was used for the 2004 Olympics and has played host to musical events including the Eurovision Song Contest.
