Oakleigh Grammar had a healthy participation in the Certificate of Attainment in Greek exams with 12 of their students passing them with flying colours.

The school’s students performed well in this year’s exams under the guidance of Natasha Spanos (Hellenic Culture Coordinator and Academic Leader – LOTE), with them receiving strong results from the exams which ranged from levels A1 to C1.

“Their success is a testament to their hard work, perseverance, and love for the Greek language,” said Spanos in an official announcement from the school.

“It’s inspiring to see our students embrace their cultural identity with such pride and dedication.”

The internationally recognised certification, issued by the Centre for the Greek Language in Thessaloniki, Greece, affirms proficiency in the Greek language and is endorsed by both the Greek State and the European Union.

It assesses students’ abilities in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, and serves as a credential for future academic and professional pathways as well as a formal recognition of second language proficiency

“The outstanding achievement of these students in the Certificate of Attainment in Greek is testament not only to their dedication to their studies, but to the strong academic culture cultivated by the leadership and staff at Oakleigh Grammar,” the school said in their announcement.
