Emmy-nominated comedian Basile will return to Australia this October with his show ‘Yiayia Don’t Play’.
The Greek-American comic, renowned for his quick-fire improvisation, sharp characters, and bilingual punchlines, has performed to sold-out audiences across the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and Africa.
Basile’s career spans more than 100 television appearances, including HBO, Showtime, Comedy Central, A&E, Dry Bar Comedy, and The Tonight Show.
He is also the voice behind characters such as Bullwinkle J. Moose for Universal Studios and various roles on Cartoon Network and Japanese anime series.
His global tours include the English-language ‘BasileLicious World Tour’ and the Greek-English ‘Growing Up Greek in America: The Greek Mystique’ series, both of which have sold millions of DVDs and downloads worldwide.
Basile’s voice work has been featured on Armed Forces Radio, XM/Sirius Satellite Radio, and ESPN’s 30 for 30 documentary segment The Legend of Jimmy the Greek, which earned him an Emmy nomination.
He also hosts the syndicated radio show and podcast A Pinch of Basile, broadcast in North America and globally.
Basile will be headed to NSW for shows in Fairy Meadow, Belmore, Liverpool, Hurtsville and Wamberal.
In Victoria he’ll be performing in Epping, St Albans, Geelong, Moonee Ponds and Bulleen, while QLD and SA will have shows in South Brisbane and Fullarton respectively.
