The young kids of the Greek Orthodox Community of Dandenong’s Greek school shined a spotlight on their grandparents, showing their appreciation for them in a celebratory event.
The youngsters honoured their grandparents on Saturday (16 August) in a small event organised by the school.
They showcased their love and gratitude for them through songs and dances, a loving gesture for the people who helped shape their families.

“Grandparents are the guardians of our traditions, language, and culture. Our grandparents were the ones who helped us become who we are today,” the school said in their announcement regarding the event.
“With their stories, experiences, and values, they show us the way and inspire us to continue their work. We, in turn, promise to live up to their legacy and keep alive the heritage they have entrusted to us. We wish them good health, joy, and happy moments with their families.”
