A last-minute strike forced Canterbury Bankstown to split the points in a 1-1 draw with Bonnyrigg White Eagles at Jensen Park on Saturday (16 August).
The Berries led in their Football NSW State League One Round 28 clash for over an hour of play, but a 90+5th goal cost them the win as they maintained their place in 11th with 32 points.
The hosts went ahead in the 31st minute after winger Zayn Moussa unleashed a curling right-footed effort from the edge of the box into the net.
The Berries had a golden chance minutes later to go two goals up when the ball fell to Demitrius Kigeya with an open goal in front of him, but the striker hit the crossbar (35′).
Bonnyrigg made them pay as they scored deep into injury time through Moussa Sanoh, costing the Berries a win in front of their fans.
Two rounds remain in the competition with Canterbury Bankstown to play Northern Tigers and Newcastle Jets in their final games.
