Olympiacos is all set to kick off the 2025-26 Greek Super League season with a clash against Asteras Tripolis as the reigning champions look to get their title defence off to a perfect start.

The Piraeus giants will battle the Arcadians at “Georgios Karaiskakis” Stadium in the first game of the season on Sunday morning (AEST) with the goal of earning maximum points.

The “red-whites” will be looking to make a statement in their first competitive game of the season, having avoided the European qualifiers (unlike the other top teams) after advancing directly to the Champions League.

Asteras Tripolis will no doubt give their all to somehow keep the defending premiers at bay and somehow sneak away with a win or draw.

AEK and PAOK will both be looking to score home wins over Panserraikos and Larissa respectively on Monday morning.

The two Double-headed eagles of Greek football will enter their matches after tough away European assignments, PAOK to Croatia and AEK to Belgium.

Both Panserraikos and Larissa will be hopeful to somehow nab a positive result, though they are well aware nothing comes easy against the top clubs.

Aris takes on Volos at “Kleanthis Vikelidis” ground on Sunday morning with the Thessaloniki club seeking to showcase their quality.

The game marks the hosts’ first chance to regroup after a disappointing exit from the Conference League qualifiers at the hands of Araz-Naxcivan.

The Magnesia side comes in with some confidence after a midweek win over Giannina in the Greek Cup, and they will do all they can to build on that with an even bigger result against Aris.

Panetolikos faces Atromitos in the other Sunday fixture with both teams looking to get their season off to a positive start.

Levadiakos hosts newly promoted Kifisia in the round’s closing game on Tuesday morning and the “blue-greens” will eye the game as a must-win to signal their intention of staying in the top flight.

Similarly, the “blue-whites”, coached by Panathinaikos legend Sebastian Leto, will view the game as an opportunity to demonstrate they have what it takes to hang in the first division.

Panathinaikos and OFI will not play their scheduled clash after the Greens had their request to postpone the game to focus strictly on their European matches approved.
