The young woman accused of crashing her $1.5 million Rolls-Royce into a van driven by Kyle Sandilands’ chauffeur, George Plassaras, in Sydney’s east has been hit with two further charges.
Police allege 23-year-old Lanlan Yang was behind the wheel of the Tiffany blue Cullinan when it collided with Plassaras’s van in Rose Bay in the early hours of July 27.
Plassaras was rushed to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition.
Yang was initially charged with causing bodily harm by misconduct and refusing or failing to submit a breath test, after police alleged she returned a positive roadside result.
According to the Daily Telegraph, she’s now also facing charges of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and failing to give particulars to police. If convicted, she faces a maximum penalty of seven years’ jail.
The case has drawn widespread attention both locally and overseas, with crowds gathering at her Downing Centre Local Court appearance last month. Yang, who was granted bail, appeared via audiovisual link.
