Panathinaikos B.C. has an unexpected guest at their practice in Melbourne.
NBA player Josh Giddey, who is from Melbourne, took part in Panathinaikos’ training session ahead of the Greek club’s Pavlos Giannakopoulos Tournament this week.
It just happens that the Chicago Bulls star regularly trains at the facility that the Trifili are using.
“This is obviously where I work out every day and I heard they were coming in,” Giddey told reporters.
“They’re a very, very good team. I respect the team.
“It was a lot of fun to be out there with them today.”

Giddey, who was wearing the green colours said he’s heard nothing but good things about the team and Greece.
When asked if he’d consider a move to play in the EuroLeague one day, Giddey said “maybe one day”.
“Never say never… as I said, I spoke to the guys about it. They love Greece, the team, they speak very highly of it… so maybe one day down the line.”
Kendrick Nunn, Ioannis Kouzeloglou, Jerian Grant, and Ioannis Rogkavopoulos, are all in Australia and will be joined by the rest of the squad on Thursday morning.
In the meantime, Giddey will continue contributing to training alongside Greek-Australian Eric Kafritsas and Australian players Jackson Macoy, Mojave King, Dillon Stith, and Zac Triplett.
