Adelaide’s Andriana Petrakis, leading PWII tennis player, finished runner in a Gold Coast Intellectual Disability and Autism tennis tournament earlier this month.

Her run in the singles round robin matches saw her reach the final where she fell short to home state player Amy Potts.

Petrakis also competed in doubles with Bonnie Johnson from Victoria.

She told Neos Kosmos that she put in 100 per cent effort, and while didn’t get the ultimate prize, it was still special to her.

She was honoured to received a runner up trophy.

In August she celebrated another milestone, graduating from the Next Level Elite program, a mentorship initiative for aspiring athletes.
