The Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HACCI) is gearing up for its annual celebration, the Excellence Awards, as it looks to once again honour outstanding members of the Greek Australian community.
HACCI is all set to pay tribute to the members of our community who have shown success in fields like business and science to the arts and community service through this year’s Excellence Awards.
The winners will be celebrated at the 2025 HACCI Awards Gala Ball at the Plaza Ballroom on Friday 14 November.
Martha Oplopiadis, the 2024 Woman of Influence Award winner, expressed her view in a Q&A shared by HACCI that the Awards highlight people’s professional success as well as the impact of Hellenic culture on people’s upbringing.
“These awards shine a light on that. They celebrate the sacrifices our parents made, as well as their heroic courage so that we may prosper.”
She added her belief that nominating people for the Awards remains a significant gesture of their success, saying “it acknowledges the individuals’ effort and collectively the Hellenic Australian talent”.
HACCI noted the nomination period remains open for people to suggest additional names for this year’s Excellence Awards, though it is set to close soon.
