The Hellenic Medical Society of Australia (HMSA) and the Greek Community of Melbourne (GCM) will hold their annual gala ball on Saturday 11 October 2025 at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne, with proceeds directed to Agapi Care Inc.
The two organisations have a history of using the event to raise money for community services, having previously supported aged care provider Fronditha Care and social welfare organisation Pronia.
Agapi Care was founded by a group of Greek Australian parents who wanted to ensure children with disabilities had equal access to community programs and services.
The organisation now operates nationally, providing support that promotes inclusion, independence and personal choice.
In a media release HMSA said the partnership continues their commitment to backing groups that assist vulnerable members of the community.
The now sold out gala will include dinner, live music and auctions, with an online silent auction open to the public for those unable to attend in person.
Funds raised will go towards Agapi Care’s programs and advocacy work for people living with cognitive and physical challenges.
The silent auction and more information can be found on the HMSA Ball website.
