A jubilant mood marked Oakleigh Grammar’s Term 4 start as it celebrated numerous recent successes, including its approved status as a Round Square school.
The school welcomed in the new term with an assembly that noted its Round Square status, joining the international network of over 280 schools in 50 countries which is committed to the ideals of Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership, and Service.
Teachers Rebecca Bettiol and Manoj Patel, Principal Mark Robertson, and eight students attended the 2025 Round Square International Conference (RSIC) in Dubai to note the school’s entry.

During the assembly, the Principal also presented the Round Square flag to the school, while Bettiol, Round Square Coordinator, shared her reflections on the conference, highlighting the leadership, service, and global connections developed through participation.
The assembly also celebrated significant milestones from teachers, recognising the years of service from Mrs Mplatsis (10 years), Mr Wengier (15 years) and Mr Panagopoulous (35 years).

Year 11 student Tony delivered a musical performance, demonstrating the talent at the school, before Mr Greg Joyce announced that Oakleigh Grammar will participate in the 2026 National Schools Event (NSE).
The event will be hosted in Sydney at St Euphemia College, Bankstown, and will provide students with opportunities to develop teamwork, demonstrate sportsmanship, and engage at a national level.
