The Milwaukee Bucks are set to become a true family affair, with Alex Antetokounmpo signing a two-way contract with the team, Octagon managing director Alex Saratsis confirmed to ESPN‘s Shams Charania on Monday.
The move sees Alex, the youngest of the Antetokounmpo brothers, join his superstar sibling Giannis and older brother Thanasis in Milwaukee — marking a historic moment as the first time three brothers have been signed to active roster contracts for the same NBA team.
After going undrafted in 2021, Alex spent time in the NBA G League, suiting up for Raptors 905 before joining the Wisconsin Herd, Milwaukee’s affiliate, from 2022 to 2024. Most recently, he had been playing professionally in Europe.
According to ESPN, the Bucks will waive guard Jamaree Bouyea to make space for the signing.
The family’s basketball success has extended well beyond the NBA.
This past summer, Giannis led Greece to a bronze medal at the 2025 EuroBasket, describing it as his greatest achievement as an athlete.
That national squad also featured Thanasis and Kostas Antetokounmpo.
