There were 55 people from NSW and 17 people in Victoria hit with a range of charges following major police sting Operation Ironside.

Crimes include drug trafficking, money laundering, participating in a criminal organisation and also include a Lamborghini bought with the proceeds of money obtained from criminal activities.

Among those charged in NSW are two Greek Australians, Emmanual Vamvoukakis and Luke Andreou.

Andreou, aged 31, from Horsley Park, was arrested as part of raids on Sunday and has been charged with money-laundering offences and possession of drugs and firearms.

Vamvoukakis, a high-ranking Comanchero, was arrested on Sunday after it was alleged by the National Anti Gangs Squad that he had been trying to import cocaine from Greece.

Vamvoukakis did not apply for bail and it was officially refused in Wollongong Local Court.

Victoria Police arrested 17 people linked to the bikie gang this week according to information of the Australian Federal Police’s Operation Ironside.

Niddrie man George Kamvissis, 30, was charged with two counts of trafficking a large commercial quantity of a drug of dependence.
