Lisa Gant and Alex Pelling are just one of many couples in love, troubled with searching out the perfect place to get married.
But the British couple took it to the extreme – by having a wedding ceremony in each country they visit.
After three years of driving around the globe, exchanging vows in the most unusual and unique wedding locations they could find, they married in Corfu, for the 62nd time.
Looking to embrace the culture and local traditions of each place they visit (and get married in), for their big fat Greek wedding Alex and Lisa chose 28 October – OXI Day.
In order to make their dream come true, the couple sold their business and put their house up for sale. Three years down the line, they have exchanged their wedding vows 62 times, and with each of their weddings attracting media attention, they are fundraising for UNICEF through their UNICEF-Zankyou Wedding Registry.
Just a few of their wedding destinations include Brazil, Bosnia, Hawaii, Tahiti, Portugal and … 57 other countries.
Lisa and Alex, better known through their blog 2people1life.com, say they want to experience the difference in each ceremony and find out what makes the bringing of two people together such a worldwide tradition.
