Investors who paid huge sums for shares in the racehorse ‘Jimmy’ – Black Caviar’s half-brother – face a wait of at least a week before learning if they earn a share the $5 million insurance pay out.
Veterinarians euthanised the $5 million colt on Sunday because he was in pain from laminitis; the colt’s feet began to twists and he could hardly stand from this disease.
Meanwhile, investigations into the colt’s former owner Bill Vlahos are continuing.
Mr Vlahos’ trustee in bankruptcy is preparing to trace the proceeds of the racing identity’s failed punting club The Edge as Racing Victoria investigators and company administrator’s trawl through the books and records maintained by Mr Vlahos’ BC3 Thoroughbreds.
