A Melbourne family are appealing for the return of Helen Michael who went missing just after Easter.

Michael, who is a cancer sufferer and needs to take her medication, went missing on 30 April after she left her home in Gabriel Terrace South Morang and has not been seen since.

It is believed the 58-year-old may have left on foot as she left her car and personal belongings including her mobile phone and purse at home.

She is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, 150cm tall, solid build with short grey hair. It is believed she was wearing a purple hooded top with track suit pants and runners when she went missing.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Victoria Police on 000.
