Greek Australia hairdresser Jason Panda has been overwhelmed by the massive response to his offer of assistance to people suffering financial hardship.

The award winning Ripponlea hairdresser is offering free hairdressing to people in need through the month of December at his Aveda concept salon Nylon Hair on Glen Eira Road.

The response to his offer has been so strong Jason Panda has made more times available for people to feel special at Christmas.

Jason Panda explained that “Many people have experienced personal and financial challenges in 2009 and with Christmas approaching Nylon wanted to give back to those is need.

Our staff wanted to offer people an escape, an opportunity to step away from their life for a short time and allow us to make them feel good about themselves and hopeful about the new year ahead.”

Panda and his staff at Nylon studio have opened the salon to people in need on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout December.

The Nylon team is providing free hairdressing to a select number of people, offering a full colour, styled cut and Aveda product gifts to complete the experience.

“It is important at Christmas that individuals and businesses in a position to help other do so. You should never underestimate the impact of reaching out and showing someone you care,” Jason Panda said.
