Olympiakos scored a precious win at Iraklis to stay on top of the league standings on Wednesday.

The champions won 3-1 at Thessaloniki to maintain their one-point advantage over Panathinaikos.

Iraklis took the first set but Olympiakos stormed back and outplayed their hosts for a clear win that avenged Iraklis’s victory in Piraeus in the opening round of the league in autumn.

This was Olympiakos’s tenth consecutive victory in the league.

Panathinaikos had a much easier task in their hands and thrashed visiting Apollon Kalamarias 3-0.

Fourth-placed EA Patras could not add to their away win over Panathinaikos as they went down 3-2 at Lamia.

Panellinios, in fifth, continued their winning streak with a 3-1 win at Foinikas Syrou, while sixth PAOK returned from Kifissia with a 3-1 victory.

Finally, Aris returned to winning with a 3-0 triumph over visiting AEK, boosted by the arrival of experienced Serb libero Marko Samardzic. He had an impressive 91 percent rate in receptions.
