Greek graduates are more likely to consider moving abroad to find work than any of their European peers, according to the results of a survey released last week.
In a poll of 196,000 young Europeans, 34.8 percent of Greeks said that they are open to the idea of going to another country to further their careers.
This was the highest percentage of any of the 22 countries that took part in the Trendence Graduate Barometer for 2009.
However, only four in 10 of the Greeks willing to move abroad would consider going to a country outside the European Union to find work.
Just over 12 percent said they are not willing to leave their home town, while 13.5 percent said they would consider moving elsewhere in Greece.
Greek graduates are also willing to work long hours in their first jobs. On average, they said they would be happy to work for 45.4 hours. The Swiss topped the list with 48.3.
