Associate professor of the University of Thessaloniki, Thomas Savvidis, is currently visiting Australia and will give his final lecture this Sunday in Melbourne.

Here for a week long, four part lecture series, Mr Savvidis will give the lecture ‘Refugees/Thessaloniki: The new homeland of Asia Minor refugees’ on Sunday.

Born in northern Greece, Mr Savvidis has devoted his life’s work to utilising ancient Greek literature as a source of scientific knowledge in the field of sciences.

He has also recently published a book entitled The Pontian Diet, the Mastic of Chios and Homer’s Vine.
