Australian-based photographer and award-winning book designer, Yanni Florence is preparing to launch a book of his photographs entitled ‘Immolation’.

The unique collection of images is made up of a selection of snapshots featuring people ‘on fire’, though not in the way you may imagine.

An example includes a man waiting to cross the road at the traffic lights, with smoke coming out from behind him, making him look as though he is self-combusting and slowly burning up from the inside.

This man, along with various others in the book are giving off smoke signals.

Set to be launched by Graeme Hare, this is a studied selection of 19 photographs from hundreds that were taken by the photographer.

The book is available in two collectible limited editions, both hard bound, printed on cotton rag paper, numbered and signed.
