olice in Athens on Monday arrested a 27-year-old Bulgarian believed to have killed his 4-year-old daughter, who has been missing since April 21, and disposed of her body in a fashion so grisly that investigators were shocked.
Officers questioned the man immediately after Ani Borisova was reported missing by her mother, a 43-year-old Bulgarian woman who was charged with putting an infant at risk.
The 27-year-old drug addict, who is the girl’s biological father, was freed at the outset due to a lack of evidence. New findings led police to issue a warrant for the suspect’s arrest.
He denied the charges, claiming he found the toddler dead and disposed of the body in a panic. He allegedly boiled the pieces of his daughter and threw them in the trash.
