As Australian jeweller Kailis expands into the Asian market, when it came time to selecting an ambassador for the region they looked no further than Australian actress Grace Huang.

The Taiwan-born beauty was the ideal candidate for the company, which was looking for someone who would resonate with both at home customers and those abroad.

Excited about her new role, Huang told AAA, “I believe every woman should own a piece of jewellery that makes them feel confident whenever they wear it and not have to worry about whether it is appropriate and ‘on trend’.

“Pearls are classic and timeless. Every woman who wears pearls radiates confidence and with the many designs available from the Kailis range, there really is something to suit every woman and outfit,” Ms Huang said.

Drawing on her intimate knowledge of the Asian market, Huang believes Kailis will be a hit with the Asian market which has an appreciation for quality design.

Following in the footsteps of fellow Aussie Natalie Imbruglia, Huang is humbled to be a representative of the brand, saying that she aligns with their aesthetic.

“I like classic pieces of clothing that can be mixed and matched to create amazing outfits.

“I like to be understated and I accentuate with accessories such as a statement bag, beautiful jewellery and watch,” she said.

With a growing profile both at home and abroad, the actress is honoured to be viewed as an inspiration for women around the world, but also recognises the pressures that the entertainment and fashion industries place on women.

“I think as women, we are inundated with such levels of immense pressure and expectations to be ‘perfect’.

“I constantly remind myself that there is no definitive model of perfection, we are all different, and that we need to not lose ourselves in the quest for that. It’s individuality that makes us unique,” she said.

Aside from her recent appointment as ambassador, the actress has recently appeared alongside Daniel MacPherson and Luke Hemsworth in sci-fi film Infini, as well as working on a number of television and film projects.
