The Greek Orthodox Community of Box Hill and Districts is preparing to open the doors to a new Community Cultural Centre this Sunday.
Located next to the parish, the two-storey building will house a multi-purpose hall, with an office, kitchenette, child care centre and outdoor playground.

On the first floor, five rooms have been constructed with functional wall partitions, which will allow for flexible use of the space for a range of meetings and social events.

Designed to be used predominantly by the Greek language school, classrooms have been well-equipped for the use of modern technology during lessons.

The centre, which took around $3 million to construct, has been designed to meet the community’s needs for at least the next ten years.
Attending the inauguration tomorrow will be members of the community board, along with local parishioners and students.
