Greek-Cypriot rock band, The Secret, have won the 2010 EuroVoice European Music Contest (EuroVoice).

EuroVoice is the first music contest in Europe where the winner is solely determined by audience vote.

Taking home 100,000 euro in prize money from the Athens event, The Secret pleased both live and online audiences alike.

Held this year from September 23 to 24, EuroVoice is designed to “pave the way for new music talent and to give the audience a real chance to express its preference”.

The Secret are five music-loving friends from Cyprus; they are passionate about all things music, and aim to exchange this energy with listeners.

Panos Nikolakopoulos and Flora Theodorou front the band alongside Vassilis Tsangaropouolos, Stelios Sfikakis and Kostamos Yiacoumis.

The voting process consists of two stages: the Internet Stage and the Super Final Stage.

During the Internet Stage of voting, contestants upload their songs and bios to the official website. Contestants from all over Europe are eligible to enter, as well as Israel, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkey.
