The Greek islands of Corfu and Rhodes will each have a representative in the Greek Cup quarter finals after Kerkyra and Diagoras overcame their round 16 replay opponents at home.

Diagoras will face Athens side Atromitos while Kerkyra will be at home to Olympiakos Volou.

Intriguingly, the top four sides of the Greek Super League are on the other side of the quarter final draw with Panathinaikos set to face AEK and Olympiakos will be at home against PAOK.

The fixtures take place January 19 and February 2nd.

Once again, 90 minutes could not separate Kerkyra and Iraklis in Thessaloniki as the two sides played out a dull 0-0 draw. The pair drew their first match 1-1 but needed a penalty shoot out before either side would find the back of the net.

Having drawn 1-1 in the first match in Thessaloniki last month, Kerkyra and Iraklis played out a rather dull goalless draw in the 90 minutes of regulation time and the 30 minutes of extra time, taking the tie to the penalty shoot-out.

Former Cardiff, Hartlepool, Coventry and Swansea keeper Dimi Konstantopoulos was the hero for the islanders, denying Iraklis’s Karim Soltani, who was the only player not to score as Kerkyra advanced 5-3.

A second division derby between Diagoras and Ethnikos Asteras means that the lower division will be represented in the next round with the Rhodes side advancing 1-0.

A first-half goal from Bartosz Tarachulski was enough to give Diagoras progression after the Polish star headed the ball home from a corner at the 29th minute.
There was controversy ten minutes later after Nikos Chatzopoulos saw his side reduced to ten men, giving away a penalty in the process.

But Diagoras goal keeper Charalambos Tabasis parried the Dimitris Diamantis penalty against the upright to keep his side ahead on the score sheet, where they finished after 90 minutes.
