Anti-austerity protesters in the Cretan city of Hania took out their wrath at the reform measures being voted through Parliament on the local office of ruling PASOK, last Wednesday.

A group of people from among the protesters stormed the building on Kydonias Street as the march was passing it, breaking down doors, tipping over desks and chairs, smashing computers, emptying filing cabinets and drawers of their contents and spray-painting anti-government slogans on the walls. The office was empty at the time and no one was injured in the attack.

The march then headed for Hania City Hall, located further down the same street, with protesters storming that as well. Hania Mayor Manolis Skoulakis was ushered to safety.
