A new president has been elected for the Victorian Branch of the SAE Youth following the recent resignation of Emmanuel Lampou.

The Council elected Olga Simeonidis as the new president at a meeting on Sunday May 17.

The SAE Oceania & Far East Coordinator George Angelopoulos and Victorian SAE Councillors Dimitris Kanellakos and Kyriakos Papadimitropoulos were present at the meeting.

As reported last week in Neos Kosmos English Edition the resignation of Mr Lambou stemmed from an email chain that led to a war of words between members.

According to sources Mr Angelopoulos addressed the issue useing stern language to criticise the events that led to Mr Lambou’s resignation.

However, he didn’t go so far as to ask another member of the SAE Youth network that was involved in the dispute to step down from her position, as certain members had anticipated.
