The Australian Archaeological Institute at Athens (AAIA) presents Dateline 1180 BC: The Palace of Nestor after the Collapse of Mycenaean Society.
Professor Jack Davis, Carl W. Blegen Professor of Greek Archaeology & Director of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, is a visiting professor for the AAIA. Whilst in Australia Professor Davis will be giving a series of lectures and seminars on a variety of topics including Nestor’s palace, Illyrian Apollonia, and the Peloponnese under Ottoman Greece. This lecture will take place at University of Adelaide, Napier Building (Room GO4), on Tuesday 30 August at 7.00 pm.
