Motorbike rider Marco Simoncelli died in a tragic crash at the Malaysian MotoGP Sunday 23 October.

The 24-year-old was killed when he lost control of his Honda on lap two of the Malaysian MotoGP and came off in the path of Colin Edwards and compatriot and close friend Valentino Rossi who could not avoid him.

Australian Mark Webber offered his condolensces on Twitter: “RIP Marco. A special talent that will be missed. Thinking of your loved ones and all the MotoGP paddock.”
